Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying your time off!
What are your plans for Thanksgiving? I know this is an American holiday, but will anyone be celebrating it? Or eating any turkey? :)
Tell me about your plans-if you are traveling or relaxing; how are you going to spend your time off?
As for me, my husband and I (and our cat, Tigger) are all going to Florida where my parents live. We always have a really big Thanksgiving dinner. My sister, her boyfriend, and my mother-in-law will also be there. This year, I'm making the cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie (yum!)
I hope everyone has a lovely, fun, and delicious holiday! See you next week.
I don't have any special plans for Thanksgiving. I'll stay in N.Y. But I'm going to cook the turkey, because I can't get a whole turkey easily in Japan. And, possibly I will go shopping in Woodbury Common on Black Friday...
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
It's my first Thanksgiving and I'll stay with my relatives in New Jersey.. I'll go there tomorrow till Sunday. I'm pretty exited, I'm so curious to see how the americans celebrate this day. I'm gonna miss the Black Friday though but it's not a big deal. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
ReplyDeleteDear Cody Rae,
ReplyDeleteHow are you?
I hope your families have a great party.
I saw many turkeys at supermarket today.
As for me I do not have any plans for Thanks Giving Day.
I bought ten books last week, so I am enjoying my time off with these books.
I haven't caught a cold in quite a while,
but I caught a bad cold last week and have to stay in my bed for a few days.
I could not post on our blog.
I am sorry.
Please have a good holiday.
Sincerely,
Keiko
I'm going to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade tomorrow morning! At the time of Halloween, I couldn't see the parade because of too many people. This is my revenge!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have a plan to invite my husband's friend for dinner on Saturday. I couldn't find a smalll turkey (the minimum is 8 pounds! I can't brain such a big turkey), so I'll give up the whole turkey and find some cut pieces.
This revenge will be Christmas day for whole chiken!
Have a nice holiday, everyone!
Hi Cody Rae!
ReplyDeleteHow was your cranberry sauce with turkey?
I wish I were there!
My husband Jun came back from his business trip on Thanksgivingday. We had dinner in our apartment.(It was not turkey.)
On Friday we took our cat,Nyantaro to the vet.
He looks fine,so don't worry!
The doctor said Nyantaro's next treatment would be in 2 weeks, instead of 10 days.
Jun and I are going to the Met tonight.
The performance will start at 8pm and finish at 12:05!!
Too long!
See you on Monday!
Have a wouderful evening and Sunday!
hi everyone,

Hi everyone,
ReplyDeleteI hope that you all had a great holidays with your families or friends. We dont have this holiday in Czech (we are doing something similar but after Christmas) but I already joined this Holiday last year so I knew what to expect.
I was with my boyfriend in his apartment and with our friends from my country. We were having a big dinner but not exactly american Thanksgiving dinner. Believe or not I was cooking all day :-D We had turkey with two types of sauerkraut and czech dumplings (usually made from bread or potatoes) but also cranberry sauce (because I love it). We ate also some cakes and czech snacks like bread with ham or salami, cheese and vegetables and after dinner we all were watching czech movies.
The rest of the weekend I spent with my hostfamily in their winter house in upstate (close to Poughkeepse). It was really nice and relaxing weekend. Can't wait for next holiday ;-) But without one thing!! I am not going to eat anymore :D :D
